A group of dedicated singers from all walks of life committed to a high level of performance
Our Mission:
Is to bring joy to our audience through music.
What we do:
We perform two major concerts every season, one each at the Eissey Theatre in Palm Beach Gardens and the Duncan Theatre in Lake Worth. On Occasion, we perform at additional venues and several other
events throughout our area. We do this for the love
of singing, for the camaraderie, and to enrich the South Florida experience.
Our repertoire varies from classical standards and madrigals to pop classics and jazz interpretations with some gospel and patriotic music thrown in for good measure.

Marklin Green
Accompanist and Vice President
Marklin started his adult career at the University Baptist Church in Columbus, Ohio, home of composer and theorist John Ness Beck. Marklin spent four years as organist working with numerous Ohio State University musicians.
He studied Music Performance at West Virginia Wesleyan College where he was Chapel Organist for three and one half years. He also spent two years as Cathedral Organist at the Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
He has worked with Counterpoint Music Group President George Sullivan for over fifteen years, including organist at First United Methodist Church of Jupiter/Tequesta and as guest pianist/keyboardist with the Symphonic Band of the Palm Beaches. Marklin plays at various venues with different musical groups and was audition accompanist at Maltz Theater during the summer of 2007. He currently serves as Organist at First Presbyterian Church, Tequesta, Florida.
George Sullivan
President
George was born in 1955 and has been consumed by music most of his life. At an early age he sang in church choirs, played tuba and trumpet in school and church bands and has remained immersed in music his whole life. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Furman University and a Master's degree in Music Theory from Southwestern Baptists Theological Seminary. George has done extensive postgraduate study at Florida State University in music theory.
For the past thirty years, George has directed church and community choirs and instrumental groups including the Symphonic Band of the Palm Beaches for ten years. Creating and leading Counterpoint embodies the culmination of a dream: to provide a high quality choral experience for amateur and professional musicians, producing entertaining concerts, encouraging musical education to sustain the dream and encouraging civic pride to sustain the community.
